Not Just a Dream – Our 1 Year Full-Time RV Living Anniversary

Full Time RV Blog Lifestyle 1 Year Anniversary

Full Time RV Blog Lifestyle 1 Year Anniversary

Dreamers dream.

Doers do.

But can we be dreamers and doers?

Absolutely.

Will it be easy?

No.

Will it be worth it?

Absolutely.

Nothing worth it is ever easy.

We’ve officially been on the road for 1 year as of June 18, 2018. While we started living in our RV a few months before we started traveling the RV, we’re calling this date our anniversary. This is the date we chose to quit just thinking about doing what we wanted to do and we actually did it. We haven’t had a city to call home in over a year and that’s quite thrilling. We’ve had temporary homes, but no permanent homes. At this point, we barely even consider Jacksonville our “home base.” Sure, it’s still where we go to doctor appointments, receive our mail, and have a storage unit that keeps getting smaller and smaller, but we have no physical presence there anymore.

In the last year, we’ve:

  • visited 25 different states
  • upgraded to a new camper
  • had a puppy join our family
  • met hundreds of nice fellow RVers
  • checked about a million things off our bucket list

The number one question we’re asked is: Where is your favorite place you’ve been? And, without any hesitation, all 3 of us will always answer South Dakota. We loved Custer State Park and Badlands National Park so much and those locations were some of our very first stops – only about 2 weeks into our adventure.

This is just a shout out to anyone out there even thinking about taking a risk and doing something crazy. Whether that’s making the decision to go full-time RVing or anything else life may be throwing your way, kudos to you for even thinking about making a move and doing something crazy. And for all of you thinking about starting the full-time RV journey, reach out to us if there’s anything we can do to help ease your nerves. We’re huge advocates of the lifestyle and would love to help give you that push to start the journey like we did. You definitely won’t regret it!

Full-Time RVers Visit Yosemite National Park

Yosemite National Park Full-Time RV Blog Family

Yosemite was stunning and completely unlike anything else we’ve seen. These gorgeous rock formations are so unique and beautiful to observe. It is no wonder so many people go rock climbing at Yosemite. I must say, we were a bit nervous about visiting as just the week before, a group of rock climbers were injured as some of the rock formations collapsed.

With one road in and the same road out (along with lots of construction at the park), we felt like it was quite busy for the off-season. (We were there in October and I wrote this post back then – I know, call me out for being a slacker and not getting these pictures posted!)  It took a long time to get to the parking lot area and the gift shop ran out of ice cream on this record hot day, but we were able to enjoy the gorgeous views with the new pup in hand! He stole the show and there was even a line to pet him at one point. He loved the attention and was so sweet with all the kids asking to pet him. He’s such a trooper!

While we were visiting Yosemite, we saw so many rental RVs around and we couldn’t help but me reminded of our start! Before we were full-time RVers, we used to rent RVs to travel. Ultimately, renting RVs is how we fell in love with the lifestyle. Back when we were renting, options were super limited, but nowadays, there are so many options including RVshare. We seriously would have loved if RVshare was around back when we were renting RVs!

We Live in Our RV Full-Time and We Aren’t Retired

There’s a lot of reasons to choose RV living over your “regular” sticks and bricks home. Most people think those who are living a full-time RV lifestyle are retired and while sure, most people may be retired, the median age of RVers is slowly lowering. Many Millennials are turning to RVs for both vacation and living purposes. We’re a mixed age family – I was born in 1990 and that does make me a Millennial, but in 2017, my parents and I made the choice to sell the house, the cars, and as many of our belongings as possible for a life of freedom.

Full Time RV Blog Family Non Retired Work from Home Young

We work full-time from the RV. We travel full-time from the RV. Someone the other day mentioned we’re semi-retired and I beg to differ with that statement. For starters, I’m not even 30 yet and I actually really enjoy my line of work. We’re not semi-retired. We work just as many hours at our work from home job as we did when we had office jobs. The difference? No commute. No stress of the day-to-day office life. No office gossip because we don’t work around any of our coworkers. I get more accomplished in the same 40+ hours a week working from home than I ever did working in my last office job. While I do miss my teammates from my old job, it is just so freeing to not have the burden of office life.

I prefer to say we live a semi-minimalistic lifestyle rather than a semi-retired lifestyle. While I think calling ourselves minimalists would be extreme (we still have a lot of stuff), we have minimized our life to the necessary. We watch less TV and spend more time outside. We spend no time commuting to work and now we spend time actually cooking health, homemade meals instead of eating out or grabbing something to go on the way home from work. We’ve freed ourselves from the burdens of life that pin everyone down and we’ve become free people who live where we want, when we want, and how we want.

Have questions about the full-time RV life? Working from your RV? Or anything else RV related? Drop us a note in the comments, email us (freewaygypsy@gmail.com), or chat with us on Instagram (@FreewayGypsy). We’re always here to help out our fellow RVers or those interested in the lifestyle.

Full-Time RVers Visit Las Vegas – Britney Spears “Piece of Me” Concert at The Axis in Planet Hollywood Hotel & Casino

Britney Spears Piece Of Me Tour Las Vegas RV Travel Blog

Britney. Freaking. Spears.

I’ve only wanted to go to a Britney Spears concert since I was 8 years old.

Actually, when I was 8 years old, I wanted to BE Britney Spears. There’s video to prove that (below) with some less-than-impressive 8-year-old singing and choreography, too. I’ve always been *extremely* graceful. Just kidding. Not graceful. Not even close. Now that I’m thinking about it, why am I putting this video on the internet? Also, green corduroy overalls with matching hat – Britney would have never worn that.

So, I bought tickets and convinced my BFF to fly out to Vegas for the concert. It was everything 8-year-old me dreamed of and more. Not to mention, her Vegas residency ended just a few weeks after the concert we went to which makes this a story about a girl named Lucky (see what I did there ;).

PS. I know there is a lot of controversy about whether Britney Spears sings or not during her concerts. For once in my life, I didn’t care if someone was singing or not because it was Britney Spears – and she’s queen – she can do what she wants. PSS. She says she has a background vocal track playing and she sings along with it. PSSS. I still don’t care. She’s Britney Spears. She can do what she wants.

Full-Time RVers Visit Valley of Fire State Park Near Las Vegas, Nevada

Valley of Fire State Park Las Vegas Full Time RV Blog

There are some things you see that just leave you in wonder. You aren’t quite sure how or why they look the way they do, but you know it is something special. Valley of Fire State Park is one of those things. I mean, the rocks actually look like they’re on fire because they’re so red. It is such a beautiful thing.

We really enjoyed this State Park – and some people enjoyed the Visitor Center much more than I did. I let Mom and Dad look at the creepy crawly creatures like Tarantulas in the Visitor Center. I passed on that one and played with Cash outside.

Dad and I did hike up one of the rock hills to get a better view and take some pictures. It was an easy little climb and well worth it for these views.

Full-Time RVers – Campground Review: Paradise by the Sea RV Resort – Oceanside, California

Pacific Ocean Sunset Oceanside California RV Full Time

Paradise by the Sea RV Resort truly is paradise. I think we could live here. Actually, I know we could live here.

Only 1 block away from the beach in Oceanside, California, Paradise by the Sea is high-end RV resort that rather than just a campground. With fairly luxurious amenities and as close to the beach as you can get in this area, Paradise by the Sea brings their A game.

From the moment you arrive and get checked in, every aspect of your stay here is top notch. The check in area is very nice with your basic campground store inside. Once you’re escorted to your site, you discover the concrete RV pads awaiting your rig. While the sites themselves are not the most spacious, they aren’t cramped either. There is decent enough room between sites to eat outside at the provided picnic table and watch football in the beautiful California sunshine. Another great thing about this park is they have 24 hour security on site. When you’re in the park, you have no idea what is going on outside the concrete walls around the perimeter. While it isn’t in a bad area, it also isn’t in the best area of town. The security team monitors the premises all day and night which is a very nice feature.

We thoroughly enjoyed the pool and hot tub area and frequented the hot tub on a nightly basis. The best part of the hot tub is the adults only aspect. After a certain time each night, the hot tub is officially adults only. No children are allowed to be in the area. They can enjoy the pool, but they are no longer welcome in the hot tub corner. The pool boasts luxury chairs, tables, and umbrellas and even a glass fire pit in the corner.

The bath houses are nice, new, and very clean. While the showers themselves are kind of small, the privacy and cleanliness are some of the best we’ve ever seen. The laundry room was also nice and spacious with plenty of machines for the size of the park.

All of this is just a block from the beach which is accessible via the gated back entrance to the resort. Just use the code provided by the front office and come and go as you please. At the gate, they post the tide times so you know what to expect once you get to the beach. There’s also a beach sand rinse-off area when you come back in so you can clean yourself off before going back to your RV or jumping in their showers.

Surfer’s Cove is another great little area of the park. It’s a common area with lounge chairs, fire pits, and ambient lighting to set the vibe straight to beach mode.

They also have a peaceful little nook called Paradise Gardens – this area is a secluded, private garden that’s great for reading, meditating, or just relaxing away from everyone.

Some things to do in the area:

  • Must visit The Baked Bear – the closest location is in Carlsbad (original location is in San Diego)
  • Susie Cakes – we found this bakery with tons of delicious gluten-free and gluten-filled goodies that were just divine – located next to The Baked Bear in Carlsbad
  • Oceanside Sunset Market – every Thursday night from 5:00-9:00pm
  • Ride your bike to the pier for a milkshake at Ruby’s Diner

Also, this post is WAY over due and you’ll realize that when you see these next pictures from Mom and I in Disneyland. We took a day trip over to Anaheim from Oceanside because – hello, Disneyland – our favorite place. It was decorated for Halloween when we went – I know, I know – it’s May. I’m catching up.

And, Cash was such a little baby! He is such a beach bum!

And because every post should end with beautiful scenery and sunsets —

LOCAL FLAVOR: KIMOS Hawaiian Style Food – Food Truck in Beverly Beach, Florida – Restaurant Review by Full-Time RVers

Kimos Hawaiian Food Truck Flagler Beach Local Food Truck Review

You guys know how much we love finding the local food and one of our favorites this stop in Flagler Beach was actually a food truck with a permanent location INSIDE our campground (um, hello – why isn’t every campground renting out a front spot to local food trucks!?!). Such a delicious and unexpected treat when we arrived to Beverly Beach Camptown Resort in Beverly Beach, Florida (basically Flagler Beach). KIMOS Hawaiian Food opened in July 2017 after Jennie and Craig purchased the food truck and began their adventure in the food business.

We frequented this place so often that I didn’t want to just provide a normal review so this time, we did a mini-interview with the owners of KIMOS Hawaiian Style Food Truck to find out a little more about them and their cuisine. They’re an absolute gem of a family who moved down to Flagler Beach to open their food truck. Much like how we’ve picked up our life and completely changed it by living full-time in our RV, the Garris family took a chance and started a new life in Flagler Beach. They moved from Massachusetts 3 years ago for a simpler life out of the cold where they could enjoy being outside, at the beach, in a small town with family. Hard-working professionals working as an Optometrist and a Golf Pro, moved themselves along with their 4 children (ages 10-25) to Flagler Beach.

After high school, Craig moved back to Hawaii where he learned everything about his heritage and the food. When it was time to start a family, they moved to Cape Cod where they resided for 20 years prior to selling their home and belongings to make the trek down to Florida.

Jennie was always a good cook and between that and the recipes passed down from Craig’s family in Hawaii, they started this food truck serving up all the foods they’ve been cooking in the family for years – everything from shrimp tacos to my personal favorite, SPAM fried rice.

Listen, I know right now you’re thinking SPAM fried rice – really? Yes, really. It. Is. DELICIOUS. It is honestly one of the best things I’ve ever eaten. This combination of fried rice, fried SPAM, and vegetables provides a unique flavor palette that makes the soul happy.

When you ask Jennie what the best part is about running a food truck in a beach town, she quickly responds with the people. KIMOS has regular customers who stop by just to say hello then come back later for a bite to eat after they hit the beach. Meeting the people and hearing their stories is such a special part of the food truck business and this town doesn’t disappoint. Craig and Jennie are well known in the area and many other restaurant owners show up to get their food at both KIMOS Hawaiian Food Truck and at Farley’s Irish Pub in the European Village (more on that below). The community loves them and they love their community and that’s what makes this place so special.

PS. As a bonus, they’ve now taken over the menu at Farley’s in the European Village. They’ve revamped the menu and are serving all their specialties plus more! It’s an Irish pub with a little Hawaiian flare! On weekends, they often have specials like Poke Bowls and Guinness Stew to go along with all the drinks the pub serves.

Full-Time RVers: Sleeping Essentials When Living in an RV

Manta Sleep Mask Review for Full Time RV

Sleep (in my opinion) is without a doubt the most important thing to staying healthy. And if I’m being honest, I sleep a lot. I always have and I think it is one of the many reasons I rarely get sick – I probably just jinxed myself with that one (“Jinx back, double pinky around the side, double pinky, jinx back.” – fellow Gilmore Girls fans, you get this right?). I get grouchy when I only have 7 hours of sleep and I’m at my absolute prime when I get 8-9 hours. Any longer than that, and I just stay lazy all day.

With my love for sleep, there’s a few key essentials that I must have for sleeping on the road. When you’re in a home, your environment is always the same. Sure, occasionally you get an unexpected noise, but the sun comes up at the same angles through your windows each morning, your neighbor slams their car door to leave for work at (well almost) the same time every morning, and your home air conditioning unit well regulates the sleeping temperature to exactly the same each and every night. In an RV, none of this is true. Every new RV park you stay in brings new sunrises, new sounds, new temperatures, new environments. Everything is always changing, but with the right tools that shouldn’t be enough to disrupt even the lightest sleeper like myself.

My essentials to excellent sleeping conditions in an RV:

  • Sleep Mask
  • Sound Machine
  • Sleep Tracker
  • Heated Blanket

1) I use a sleep mask every single night. I used to use one occasionally if I wanted to sleep in a little later than sunrise or if I woke up right before it was time for the sun to rise and I knew I wouldn’t have time to fall back asleep before it came up. Now though, I use one every night. There’s always vehicles pulling in and out of RV parks and headlights shine right in your windows. If you’re a light sleeper like me, this always wakes you up. While not all RVs are like this, ours has frosted glass panels in the doors which in theory LOOK aesthetically pleasing; however, they are not conducive for sleeping before people in the living room are done watching TV. Every flash of a television show or commercial is a flash in your room. It didn’t take long to realize I would need to put the sleep mask on every night as I went to bed in order to get a decent night of sleep.

I’ve tried so many different types of masks and I know how easy it is to buy the classic flat piece of satin sleep mask you see in the movies and in all the stores, but they really aren’t effective. They don’t contour to your face and they stay pretty flat which still lets in a lot of light. While it is better than nothing, I highly recommend an upgraded sleep mask.

My favorite: Manta Sleep Mask
I found this absolute gem of a sleep mask on Kickstarter last year and waited months for it to come out of production. It was well worth the wait and I would wait all over again for this mask. It features modular, memory foam eye contours that you velcro into place at the fit that works for you and your eyes because HELLO not everyone’s eyes are the same distance apart. This was such a genius design that after my first one came and I loved it so much, I ordered two more out of fear that one day I may need a new one and I might not be able to find it. Luckily, I had that because I misplaced my sleep mask one day and had a spare to use until I found the original. Did I mention it is completely adjustable so there’s NO stretch on the strap around your head. It’s velcro so you’ll just adjust it as necessary and sleep away.

While you’re on Manta’s website, you should just go ahead and order these blackout stickers, too. For the occasions when I don’t immediately put my sleep mask on, every-single-little-light bothers me to no end. These little stickers are made to pop right on over all the TV power lights, charging cord lights, and anything else that may be bothering you. If you’re not ready to commit to sleeping with a mask full-time, these are a great first step.

2) My need for a sound machine sleeping is fueled from my parents. I was a light sleeper as a baby so they used a basic white noise machine to drown out the noise during naps and bedtime. It’s something that stuck and now I honestly can’t sleep without it. I’ve tried traveling without one and ended up never falling asleep. I’ve also tried using an app instead of traveling with one and barely slept at all. Now, it doesn’t matter how light I pack when I travel, my sound machine is going with me. White noise is my favorite, but it also isn’t for everyone. If you aren’t used to white noise, it might not be perfect for you at first, but it will definitely help you sleep better once you’re used to it. Using a white noise machine while sleeping blocks out the noises from people walking their dogs outside, cars driving by, a TV on in the other room, people talking, dogs barking (mostly), and any other noise you can think of that isn’t too loud. *Disclaimer – a white noise machine doesn’t block EVERY noise – just most of them – obviously a car crash or a loud dog barking might not be muffled by the sound machine.*

Just like with my sleep mask, I have a favorite sound machine as well. The Lectrofan High Fidelity White Noise Machine doesn’t just give you one white noise and make you stick with it, they give you 20 unique (non-looping) fan and white noise sounds. The white noise that sounds beautiful to your ears may not jive well with mine and that’s why I love this one. My parents sleep with one of these bad boys too, but they sleep with a much different sound than I do. They hate my sound and I hate theirs, but that’s what makes this particular white noise machine so great. It has lots of volume options as well so you can sleep with less or more volume depending on your situation. If you need to hear a baby crying over the noise, then you can sleep with it on a lighter volume, but if you want to drown out your neighbor’s party, you can crank the volume all the way up.

Honestly, you need this in your life. Everyone just needs this.

3) I was suspicious about using a sleep tracker at first. I’m a light sleeper and I toss and turn a lot, but I don’t consider myself awake when I’m in those moments, but I guess I actually am. I’ve been wearing a Fitbit for years, but never really wore it at night for the sleep tracking. I recently started leaving it on at night though and it is incredibly accurate. I always wake up, look at the tracking status bars, and say, “yep, I sure was awake at that point” or “yep, I definitely tossed and turned that much.” So this one is a dual-purpose. I wouldn’t buy a Fitbit solely for the sleep tracking, but if you have a Fitbit, you might as well be tracking your sleep, too. I’m currently using the Fitbit Alta which has a lot of great features, but with the lifestyle we live, I really need a waterproof device so I’m switching to the Fitbit Flex 2.

4) Last, but certainly not least, I sleep with a heated blanket even when it’s hot outside. It makes everything feel warm and cozy so I often find myself cranking up the AC to cool the place off then turning on my heated blanket to cuddle up with. Call me crazy, but I swear it helps me sleep. I’m currently using the this Sunbeam Heated Blanket which has lots of nifty features like 10 different heat settings, an auto-off feature so I can’t forget to turn it off, and a preheat function that lets me warm it up prior to using. I just love this cozy blanket and it comes in all sorts of sizes to fit whichever bed size you may have.

Full-Time RVers – Campground / RV Park Review – Las Vegas RV Resort – RV Park Near the Las Vegas Strip

Las Vegas RV Resort Campground Pool Hot Tub Review

Viva Las Vegas.

I love this city. My mom taught me to have a great appreciation of these sparkling lights while I was growing up. Then she planned a trip for the 3 of us to visit Vegas on my 21st birthday. Her and I have made a trip out there almost every year since and this year, we got the opportunity to stay for an entire month. News Flash: we didn’t want to leave.

The Las Vegas RV Resort is close enough to the Strip to take a $10 Uber ride and be dropped off wherever you want to go (use invite code kaylak138 to receive $5 off each of your first 2 rides [for a total of $10] – then I get $10 off my next ride, too!). We were able to visit the Strip multiple times each week, but still not live right on the Strip which was nice. There’s also a place called Sam’s Town right next door and we learned it’s where the locals go. We loved this place, too! There’s wonderful BBQ restaurant called Big Mess BBQ as well as a steakhouse called The Angry Butcher – both were AMAZING. The highlight for me may have been the Dunkin’ Donuts though because I love me some Dunkin’ iced coffee (and haven’t had it in forever since it apparently isn’t real big on the west coast yet).

As far as a rating goes, we’re giving this one a 5 out of 5 for being the best in the area. Sure, it isn’t perfect, but I think it is the best you can get within this proximity to the Strip. It is a pretty great park and we love the amenities. The one thing we really wish it had was some grass for the dogs, but I’ll talk about that next.

The RV park is quite large, but it is pretty spacious. The sites aren’t too crowded, but unfortunately there is no grass for the dogs. This isn’t entirely their fault though. Las Vegas isn’t too conducive for growing grass, but it did make it hard for the pup, especially one who is still potty training and learning that grass is good and inside or concrete is bad. Cash had difficulties understanding where was ok to go and where was off limits.

The facilities were great though. Lots of bathhouses were spread throughout the resort including some individual rooms – yes, entire individual bathrooms. The individual bathrooms were really nice with very large showers and lots of counter space. There was plenty of room to get ready and not feel cramped which is a nice change of pace from most bathhouses. This first set of images is from one of the private bath stalls while the second set of images is the bathhouses spread throughout the park.

They also boasted a great pool and hot tub area that even has cooling misters for the hot summer days. The pool is heated in the winter and closes after the first freeze, but the hot tub remains open year round. The pool was perfect for lounging in the desert sun and soaking in that Vitamin D. We frequented the hot tub nearly every night during our month long stay.

The small workout room isn’t much, but I’ll take anything I can get. This is one of the most under provided amenities by RV parks in my opinion. So many people are full-time RVing now-a-days that I think it would be highly beneficial for RV parks to start offering a small workout area. Even things as simple as small weights and a treadmill or a stationary bike would be enough to make a lot of people happy. This one had not only a treadmill, stationary bike, and cross country skier, but it also had a Bowflex and weights. I frequented the workout room quite a bit while we were there which was so great.

They had several dog parks, but the one complaint many people had was that they ask you to only let your pet do their business in the dog park to keep the smell in that area. They claim that because of the dry desert, the smell lingers. We saw several times where owners were attempting to get their dog to the park, but the pups can’t always make it. Luckily, we’ve been training Cash to use a portable grass mat/catch tray so we didn’t have to worry about this, but other people definitely have issues with it. It just isn’t feasible to expect an animal to only go in one area that can be quite a long ways away. While we weren’t there in the heat of the summer, we heard a lot of people say dogs sometimes have trouble walking to the area on the hot asphalt in the summer. Many people have strollers or wagons to transport their pets to the park in during the hot summer days.

A final note about this park – it isn’t in the best area of town, but it is the only RV park in the area with 24 hour security. This includes a security guard gate that is very strict about letting people in (they won’t even let Uber in without giving you a call). They also drive around at night with flashlights ensuring there are no suspicious activities occurring.

Overall, this was a great RV park and we’ll be back in future for sure

Full-Time RVers – Campground / RV Park Review: Gila Bend KOA, Gila Bend, Arizona

Gila Bend KOA Campsite Campground Review Full Time RV

While we don’t usually review a campground when we’re only there 1 night (I don’t think it is fair and we can’t give a campground a just review based on a few hours), I’d be remiss if I didn’t tell you about this campground. It was still heavily under construction while we were there, but it is going to be a fantastic campground when it is complete (and you’re reading this at least a few months after our stay so it is likely complete by now!). We’ve been a full-time RV family for almost a year now and this Gila Bend KOA is one of our favorite campgrounds we’ve stayed in to date.

Let me start out by telling you about the owner of this KOA. His name is Scott Swanson and his background is top notch. He came from the entertainment industry, but he also worked hard to turn his family’s RV park around (a different RV park). Let’s pause for a minute and let me tell you, when I say entertainment industry, I mean he was the post-production manager for GILMORE GIRLS. YES. GILMORE GIRLS. <Insert squeals of joy here>

Let’ start by talking about Kamp K9. Most (if not all) KOA campgrounds have a dog park for your pups, but this one is really one of the nicest ones we’ve seen. With 3 separate areas for social and non-social pups and their humans, there are areas both grassy and rocks for pups to choose their turf. They had toys to play with and a water dish and fountain to help wet their whistle after a rough play session.

And now for the humans – the pool. Scott went all out on this one. Between the travertine tile surrounding the pool and the nice lounge chairs, we could hang out at this pool all day. The pool is the absolute nicest we’ve seen at any campground and it has a ledge all the way down one side for sitting and relaxing. Just off the edge of the pool is a gorgeous turf area with a swing. And since pets aren’t allowed in the pool area, it is a nice place to kick off your shoes and feel the grass between your toes. Oh, did I mention he keeps the pool heated to a beautiful 90 degrees? Because, he does. It was a PERFECT place to wallow in those post-Vegas vibes. I even sipped some Bee Cosmopolitan juice by the pool (because you know I stocked up on that from The Juice Standard before I left – I SO wished they would ship their fresh pressed juices – hint, hint!).

The bathrooms just aren’t quite done being built (at the time of our stay in November 2017), but based on everything else we’ve seen Scott incorporate at this KOA, we’re certain they’ll be just as wonderful. There were a few other things like the mini golf/putting green area under construction, but some other nice features were the huge laundry room and the beautiful landscaping. I just love a good desert landscape and this campground really accentuated their nature environment with over the top, beautiful landscaping.

The Ranch House is a large common area where many of the activities happen and I must say, it appears that there is always something going on here. Lots of activities from water aerobics to chair yoga and everything in between.

He also has one very unique RV site that I must tell you about. I’m certain this one will be a tough spot to get as I imagine it will always book far in advance. One of his upgraded sites not only has a concrete patio for the humans, but it has a private fenced in dog run for your pup! Yes, your very own private dog run to play in with your pup. I. JUST. LOVE. IT. Why don’t more campgrounds offer this upgrade? We would absolutely pay more for a private fenced in area for our sweet Cash.

And also, because we mentioned Cash – here’s a few sweet photos of him protesting the next car ride.

Be sure to check out this KOA if you’re ever near the little town of Gila Bend, Arizona! Let us know how everything is now that it is finished. We’d love to make it back here one day! Send us pics if you see updates!
