The Beginning of a Journey – We’re Full-Time RVers

Today is the day! We hit the road early this morning and took the office on the road! We drove for about 10 hours as we started our westward journey. The house is sold, the cars are sold, and all that we have left are the items that fit inside the RV (and one storage unit of memories and a few special furniture items). It was such a long day and we’re exhausted, but excited to be in South Dakota by the weekend.

Meet the 3 Gypsys!

Gypsy 1 – Gypsy 2 – Gypsy 3!

After all the driving, we decided to stretch our legs and walk around to the see the gorgeous falls. Such a simple little park where you can view the waterfall from the top looking down. While we love to hike and explore, this waterfall was perfect for today after 10 hours in the truck. We learned about the history of Noccalula Falls and Princess Noccalula, a Native American Princess who ultimately jumped off the cliff of the waterfall to avoid marrying into the enemy tribe. The statue at the top of the falls is a reminder of the sacrifice she made for her tribe so many years ago.

The campground itself is very simple, but beautiful. So many trees and rivers surround the RV park and it is an easy walk to the Falls. We didn’t have much time to explore as we’ll be driving out early again tomorrow, but it is definitely somewhere we wouldn’t mind coming back to explore some more.
